Full Harvest Moon in Pisces on Friday the 13th 2019

Full Harvest Moon in Pisces on Friday the 13th 2019

Full Harvest Moon Energy

A full moon in autumn months is typically referred to as a “Harvest Moon.”  This moon signals a time of harvest and shines for 50 minutes longer, rising later and setting much later than other moons, providing light to farmers longer.

Depending on what part of the world you are in the full harvest moon for will either be on Friday the 13th or Saturday the 14th. This is the first full harvest moon on Friday the 13th since 2014. So, you will truly want to utilize the energies this combination has to offer.

The harvest moon is the giver of good energy, and a time of harvest-or reaping what you have sown. The full moon poses a peak of energy that highlights opposing polarities and forces in your life. As with all full moons, it is a good time for release.

This Moon is in Pisces.

Pisces is a water sign that is highly intuitive, sensitive, emotional and magical. The focus of this moon is connecting to your higher self, it is a time to open up to your inner voice and listen, knowing we are all one and connecting on that soul level. Listen for important messages and signs at this very important time in our planetary and soul evolution. You may notice your intuition heightened. You may also feel the effects of Mars at this time making you feel action-oriented. Both of these are great to run with just remember to ground yourself and be centered in order to stay in control and not get overwhelmed.

So, let’s talk about adding all this to Friday the 13th.

Don’t fret, remember what you intend, you manifest. If you start your day out all “oh no” and doom and gloom, then you may just get what you asked for. But let’s consider the numerology on this. 13=4 and fours are all about foundation, structure, endurance, opportunity, and planning, to name a few. Find solace in the comfort of Four energies. Fours are grounding.

So what’s the history on Friday the 13th?

Western cultures have historically associated the number 12 with completeness (there are 12 days of Christmas, 12 months and zodiac signs, 12 labors of Hercules, 12 gods of Olympus, and 12 tribes of Israel just to name a few, it’s successor 13 has a long history as a sign of bad luck.

This is very well put on Wikipedia, which states:

“The superstition surrounding this day may have arisen in the Middle Ages, “originating from the story of Jesus’ last supper and crucifixion” in which there were 13 individuals present in the Upper Room on the 13th of Nasan Maundy Thursday, the night before his death on Good Friday. [3][4] While there is evidence of both Friday [5] and the number 13 being considered unlucky, there is no record of the two items being referred to as especially unlucky in conjunction before the 19th century. [6][7][8]

For the reference above it was translated into superstition that Friday the thirteenth was “courting death.” This superstition is also by many believed to be rooted even further in Christian tradition, Jesus was crucified on a Friday, Friday was also said to be the day Eve gave Adam the fateful apple (don’t get me started on that one) from the tree of knowledge and it was supposedly also a Friday that Cain killed his brother Abel.

Some sources list countless “bad” things that happened on a Friday the 13th. However, I am sure we can randomly select ANY day and date and find the same thing.

The following take on Friday the 13th was provided by a User named Meiune on Reddit,1 year ago:

Before Christianity, Friday was considered the day of Venus and/ or Frigg, two powerful goddesses. 13 has a lot of significance as there are generally 13 turnings of the Moon per year, and females had 13 cycles of ovulation. As a female’s ability to create life was considered to be one of the most magical things that could be done, 13 became a powerful number to the pagans. When you combine both Friday and 13 this was a powerful time for the divine femininity. So, pre-Christianity Friday the 13th was a very special day to honor the divine feminine.

In studying the Divine Feminine and Patriarchy, I would have to say this probably rings truer than any other proposed scenario mentioned here.

Also, good to note that there is very little evidence to show that Friday the 13th is indeed an unlucky day. Many studies have shown that Friday the 13th has little or no effect on events like accidents, hospital visits, and natural disasters.

Let’s take a look at all the energies for this Friday:

Harvest Moon: Good Energy- harvest, reap what you have sown.
